🔒 Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

BhilwaraMart ("we", "our", "the app") respects your privacy. This policy clearly explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.

1. Information We Collect

a) At registration

• Name
• Mobile number
• Password (stored encrypted — we never see it in plain text)
• Area/city (optional)
• Language preference (Hindi/English)

b) When creating a listing (Business/Property/Job/Product/Post)

• Photos and videos you upload
• Location (latitude/longitude) — only when you tap the "Use My Location" button yourself
• Contact number you choose to display on the listing

c) Automatically collected information

• App usage — which listings you view, search, like, or save
• Device information — browser/app type (only to detect whether you're on the website or in the Kodular app)
• IP address — for security and spam prevention (rate-limiting)

d) Mobile verification

When you verify your mobile number, we generate a code that you send yourself via SMS to a fixed number. We only check whether the code and the sending number match — we never see or access any other SMS on your phone.

e) Partner/Agent program

If you register as a Partner, we also collect the details needed to pay out commissions (such as your UPI ID).

2. How We Use This Information

• To create your account and let you log in
• To display your listing on the website
• To help customers contact you directly via Call/WhatsApp
• To prevent fraud and inappropriate content (political/sexual/drug-related)
• To send push notifications (only if you've opted in)
• To measure ad performance (impressions/clicks — without revealing your identity to any third party)

BhilwaraMart is a Free app — no payment, purchase, or subscription is required to download or use it. Advertisements shown in the app are promotional content from local businesses, not from any third-party ad network (such as Google AdMob).

3. Who We Share Your Information With

We do not sell your personal information to any third party (advertiser, data broker, or other company).

• Information on your listing (name, photos, contact number) is intentionally public — since the purpose of a listing is to reach customers
• We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking tool
• Your information stays on our own secured server — it is not shared with any external cloud service

4. Data Security

• All information between you and our server is transmitted via HTTPS encryption
• Passwords are encrypted using bcrypt — we can never see your actual password
• Login sessions are managed via secure, httpOnly cookies

5. Your Rights

• Deleting your account: You can delete your account at any time from your profile. Click here for full details.
• Correcting your data: You can update your profile information at any time
• Opting out of notifications: Push notifications can be turned off anytime from your browser/phone settings

6. Cookies

We use cookies for: maintaining your login session, remembering your language preference, and measuring ad "reach" (how many distinct people saw an ad) — not for personal ad-profiling.

7. Children's Privacy

BhilwaraMart is not built for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If a significant change occurs, we will note it by updating the date on this page.
